Verde Valley Wine Trail

Trails aren’t just for hiking in Sedona! The Verde Valley Wine Trail involves every winery and tasting room in the Verde Valley and Sedona area, and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

The first fundraiser for this organization was held on January 27th, 2024 at the Cottonwood Community Clubhouse. I was happy to act as DJ and MC for this event that focused on a prohibition repeal theme. There were amazing wines from all around the state, fantastic food by Chef John Ramagli of The Village Chophouse and Rotten Johnny’s Pizza in Sedona, tons of awesome raffle items up for bid, and more.

The Verde Valley Wine Trail is more than a map or app that visitors can use. As a concept, I fully support the efforts of the organization (with support from The Verde Valley Wine Consortium) in bringing all the wineries and tasting rooms together under the umbrella of the Verde Valley AVA. You can also visit the hashtag #verdevalleywinetrail on social media platforms such as Instagram to see how it ties everyone in together, especially from a user standpoint in sharing photos and commentary of local wine adventures.

What’s your next wine adventure? Check out the VVWT map to get some ideas and I hope to see you out along the trail!

Big shout outs and thanks to Mark Dellis, Paula Woolsey, Dean Pefanis, Suzanne Reed, Judie Argo, Emil Molin, and everyone else on the VVWT team who volunteered their time.
