Harvest season is here again!

Visitors to the Sedona and Verde Valley area who are going to any of the local vineyards have probably noticed full clusters of grapes or nets on vines amongst vineyard blocks. It’s that time of year! The clusters are fully developing and getting ready for their day in the spotlight. A few wineries have already begun to pick varietals such as Viognier and several others. It can be common to see some winemakers deciding to pick by the 2nd week of August, while the month of September shows no relent for the crews working in the cellars. It’s one of the best times of the year to witness the nature of our wine growing industry. You can even smell the process of fermentation lingering in the air if you visit one of our local wineries.

So take a trip along the Verde Valley wine trail this month and experience the beauty of Arizona wine country and beyond. Take in the scenic beauty of Sedona and Page Springs (Cornville). Experience historic Clarkdale, Old Town Cottonwood, and Jerome up on the side of Mingus mountain. It’s a truly unique experience that many would never expect to find in the desert, yet only goes to show how diverse our region is. Go see for yourself or choose your Sedona wine tasting adventure with us as your guide. Cheers!
