SIP Sedona Founder Jim Reich Featured in VoyagePhoenix: An Arizona Story Built on Wine, Adventure & Community

We’re excited to share some pretty special news: SIP Sedona founder Jim Reich was recently featured by VoyagePhoenix in its Rising Stars series, sharing the story behind his journey in Arizona, his love for Sedona and the Verde Valley, and the philosophy that continues to shape the experiences we create today.

For us, this feature is about much more than recognition.

It is about Arizona. Community. Local wine. Small businesses. Adventure. And creating experiences that allow visitors to connect with this incredible place in a much more personal way.

An Arizona Story Decades in the Making

Jim’s connection with Arizona began long before SIP Sedona existed.

After graduating from high school, he headed west to attend Northern Arizona University, beginning a relationship with Arizona that would ultimately influence nearly every part of his life.

The mountains of Flagstaff. The red rocks of Sedona. The Verde Valley. The trails. The people. The small businesses. And, eventually, Arizona’s rapidly growing wine industry.

What began as an appreciation for Arizona became something much deeper: a desire to share it.

That philosophy eventually became the foundation of the tour experiences we offer today.

Our guests aren’t simply visiting wineries.

We want them to experience Arizona.

Why SIP Sedona Is Different

One of the things Jim discusses in his VoyagePhoenix feature is the evolution of our tour companies and the different ways we now help visitors explore Sedona and the Verde Valley.

SIP Sedona was created around a very simple idea:

A wine tour should give you choices.

Not everyone wants the same wine.

Not everyone wants the same amount of wine.

Some guests want a tasting flight. Others would rather enjoy a glass of their favorite varietal while overlooking the vineyard. Someone else might discover a bottle they absolutely love and decide that’s where they want to spend their money.

And some guests may decide they want lunch, craft beer, a cocktail, or something completely different along the way.

That’s why SIP Sedona offers a flexible, pay-as-you-go approach to exploring Arizona wine country.

We provide the transportation, local knowledge, itinerary and experience.

You decide what you want to sip, taste, eat and enjoy.

It makes exploring Arizona wine country more accessible, more social and — most importantly — more personal.

We Believe the Best Tours Don’t Feel Rushed

One of the philosophies behind all of our experiences is that the best memories rarely happen because someone is watching the clock.

Maybe you find a vineyard you absolutely love.

Maybe you’re sitting beneath the trees overlooking the vines, enjoying an incredible glass of Arizona wine and having one of those conversations with new friends that you simply don’t want to end.

Maybe you discover a winemaker whose story fascinates you.

Maybe you find your new favorite Arizona wine.

Those moments matter.

We believe an extraordinary tour isn’t simply about checking wineries off a list.

It is about enjoying the journey.

That is why our experiences are designed to introduce guests to some of the people, places, flavors and stories that make Sedona and Arizona’s Verde Valley wine country so special.

Supporting Arizona One Sip at a Time

There is another part of Jim’s VoyagePhoenix interview that is especially important to us: community.

Supporting other locally owned Arizona businesses has always been central to what we do.

Every time one of our guests purchases a tasting at a vineyard, orders lunch from a local restaurant, brings home a bottle of Arizona wine or discovers another locally owned business because of their tour, those tourism dollars remain connected to our community.

And that’s exactly how we like it.

We don’t simply want our own business to succeed.

We want the wineries, tasting rooms, restaurants, breweries, distilleries, artisans and other small businesses we work alongside to succeed too.

When visitors choose local businesses, their vacation has an impact long after they return home.

That means something to us.

Come Meet Arizona Wine Country

If you’ve never explored Arizona wine country before, you may be surprised by what you’ll discover.

Beautiful vineyards.

Award-winning wines.

Historic communities.

Passionate winemakers.

Incredible food.

Red-rock scenery.

And a growing wine culture that has developed an identity all its own.

Whether you’re visiting Sedona as a couple, traveling with friends, celebrating a birthday, planning a bachelorette weekend or simply looking for a fun way to spend the day without worrying about who has to drive, we’d love to introduce you to it.

SIP Sedona offers several experiences ranging from shorter tasting adventures to longer days exploring multiple locations throughout Sedona and the Verde Valley.

And because of our pay-as-you-go philosophy, you stay in control of what you purchase along the way.

Drink a little.

Drink a lot.

Find your favorite wine.

Grab some food.

Meet some new people.

Take in the scenery.

We’ll handle the driving.

More Than a Wine Tour

Being recognized by VoyagePhoenix as part of its Rising Stars series is something we’re incredibly grateful for.

But what means even more is having the opportunity to tell the story behind what we do.

SIP Sedona isn’t simply about wine.

It’s about connection.

Connection to Arizona.

Connection to local businesses.

Connection to the people you’re traveling with.

Connection to the people you meet along the way.

And sometimes connection with people who started the day as complete strangers and finished it laughing together over a bottle of Arizona wine.

That’s the kind of experience we want to create.

And after all these years of exploring Arizona, we’re still just as excited to share this remarkable place with someone experiencing it for the very first time.
